One Model's Founders – Brisbane Boys Chris, David, and Matthew

As a new employee at One Model, I wanted to learn more about this company and more importantly, the people who founded it. What I uncovered was fun and worth a share.

(As a new employee at One Model, I was told about the people who founded it. It is the typical “brain drain” story – losing Australian talent overseas. These three Brisbane boys are now home, sharing their success, experience, and knowledge. And this is a story that Australia should be proud of. )

The One Model founders have always embraced a remote and flexible work philosophy. So, after working in the US and Europe for nearly 10 years, in 2020, all three founders, Chris Butler, David Wilson and Matthew Wilton, decided to come home to Brisbane.

These guys have unique and complementary skills. They are pioneers in workforce analytics and AI, all starting at InfoHRM, then SuccessFactors (now SAP) and also gained the support of Techstars. 

After years of building analytics tools for other tech companies Chris, Dave and Matthew started One Model eight years ago in the US. Their common goal was to create a responsive and predictive people analytics platform that pulls together an organisation's (complex) data and makes it easily accessible. They use cutting-edge technology to create real functionality and usability. Essentially helping their customers make informed decisions, unlocking their people and organisations' true value!

The result is a powerful cloud-based, people analytics platform that is customer-centric. Chris, Dave, and Matthew return to Australia proud to have an awarding winning global business changing how businesses harness their data and happy customers in more than 20 countries worldwide. 

They are world leaders in this evolving and exciting industry. For APAC, their experience, innovation and leadership supplement an impressive local team of talented AI/people analytics people, who intimately understand the Australian and global market, workforce trends and demands. 

One Model recruits for innovation, talent, and attitude – and they recruit from all over the world. The US is still One Model's largest market, going from strength to strength, but the founders say it is great to be back in beautiful Australia!
