One Model’s founding team has spent years in the workforce analytics space, beginning their journey together at Infohrm. After working with directly with hundreds of enterprise organizations worldwide, and watching the acquisition of Infohrm first by SuccessFactors then by SAP, it was clear the market was headed in a new direction. Human Resources organizations didn’t just need a way to collect data, they needed a better way to access and use it.
In late 2014, Chris Butler, David Wilson, and Matthew Wilton left SAP and decided to team up to develop and put their ideas into practice — One Model was born. Initially intended to tackle the challenges of data portability for HR analytics, it was quickly evident it wasn’t enough. Having everything accessible in one platform was just the first step. HR departments needed a data strategy that was a central data warehouse that understands the context and behaviour of their HR data.
One Model is providing people analytics programs around the world with a new solution to quickly integrate all of their data sources into one platform — our platform — to generate comprehensive people analytics and gain the insights necessary to drive change and success.
Thinking solely about analytics or data visualization is thinking too small. One Model’s data strategy is just the start of what can be achieved and how data will interact with employees, vendors, and services in the space.
Knowing you have a data problem is the first step in fixing it.
